Some people associate yoga with something very relaxing that can do wonders in lowing your blood pressure when you are a bit too busy at work. For others, it's a great form of exercise, especially when it comes to testing your body and trying new yoga poses, including head-stands and doing partner yoga. If you are somewhat new to yoga and you can't see yourself doing a hand-stand anytime soon, then you may be questioning whether a good yoga session can really give you a great workout. But there are 10 yoga poses that can help you improve your fitness and these poses help you on your journey to a better you.

The Wind Easing Pose

The Wind Easing post, also called the Pavanamuktasana, is an easy pose but can do wonders for your stomach muscles and your core. To do the Wind Easing pose, start by laying down on your back with your legs stretched out and your feet together. Place your arms down your sides and relax. To do the pose, slowly bend your knees and bring them towards your chest as you breathe out. Once they have reached your chest, hug them in place, so you can relax your core muscles for about a minute. Then breathe out again and slowly lower your legs down to a resting position, controlling your core the entire time. Repeat this five times with a 15-second break between each pose, so your core muscles have a chance to relax.
