Women's bodies have evolved considerably over the past century along with their fashion. If you go back in time, you will notice how different ladies looked in every passing decade. What was considered ideal in the 60s, for example, is completely different than what is popular today.

1920s -The Feminist Movement

Women wanted to be considered equals among men so they strove for a "boyish" figure. It would be quite surprising, but back in the 1920s women would tape down their chests to flatten them. It was during this decade only that the trend of short hair and baggy clothes began.

1930s - Women Can Be Sexy And Strong

It was this decade in which the women came back to their natural waists, and there was a hint of the shoulders too. They wanted to look slender and tall while maintaining their feminine curves. They also began to think more about their diet than they did in any other time. This decade could be considered as a diet craze era.
