12 'Conpiracy Theories' About Disney Movies That Actually Make Sense
According to some Disney fans, most of the classic animated films from the revered animation studio are somehow connected, with many of the characters from several films existing in the same "universes". That goes for Pixar's films as well.
There are dozens of fan theories floating around and many of them are far-fetched, but some actually make a lot of sense, and one or two have even been confirmed by some filmmakers.
Here are a dozen of those theories that are actually pretty plausible...
Look closely at the image above and you'll see that Rapunzel (with her short hair) and Flynn Rider were guests at Elsa's coronation. But that's not all, Frozen appears to be at the very epicenter of several theories.
For one, during a Reddit AMA (ask me anything) session, the producers of Frozen all but confirmed the fan theory that Elsa and Anna's parents were heading to a wedding when the girls were in their early teens when their boat sank and they perished. Word is that they were on the way to Rapunzel and Flynn's wedding.
But the shipwreck didn't kill them...
Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, the directors of Frozen, affirmed that Elsa and Anna's parents washed up on the shore of a jungle and had another child -- "The queen gave birth to a baby boy". They also built a treehouse and were "eaten by a leopard" -- which is how Tarzan begins. This means Tarzan is Elsa and Anna's brother! (And the rightful heir to Arendelle, sorry Elsa).
More on Tarzan in a bit...
3. The Incredibles
The Incredibles features social and political themes right out of Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged". Bob Parr aka "Mr. Incredible" is similar to John Galt, the main character in Rand's epic novel. Both men are powerful members of society and are motivated by self interest.
4. Toy Story
Andy's mom was the original owner of Jessie! Jessie's former owner, Emily, gave her away when she got older, and in the flashback scene it appeared to be the 1950s -- the time that Andy's mom would have been a little girl. We never learn Andy's mom's name, and when Emily was a little girl playing with her Jessie doll, she wears the same red hat that Jesse wears. Andy has the same red hat that Jessie has -- did it used to be his mom's when she was a little girl? All signs point to YES!
